Windows 10 creator's update has bricked my Toshiba laptop - Microsoft Community


installed creator's update on toshiba portege r935 has been running win 10 last 2 years without problems. when did final reboot computer not start , gave "missing boot configuration file" error message. after trying many different solutions both ms , others gave , decided clean install. downloaded media creation tool , put media on clean usb drive. have tried installing numerous times 2 different hard drives , same thing happens each time. installation process gets "finishing up" stage , message boot record cannot updated , installation fails. have cleaned both hard drives diskpart , followed instructions partitioning clean boot letter. laptop has been rendered useless result of update. total disaster. if has solution i'd hear it.

and remember had problem @ beginning, went bios setup loaded default configuration , fix bcd command bootrec /rebuildbcd 

and voila! windows started previous attempts of  installation of w10!

hope , don't have repeat in every update...

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community
