hi, i upgraded windows 10 pro windows 7 pro yesterday. display situation of pc become bad new windows 10 pro. character on start menu, notification menu, microsort edge, mail... sometime disappear.  (see pictures) please me! ***my pc hardware includes*** 1) cpu: intel pentium e2180 2) ram: ddr2 2gb 3) main board: biostart p31-a7 4) graphic: radeon x1550 64-bit 128mb Windows / Windows 10 / Performance & system failures / PC

purchased new pc windows 10 in nov 2015 , crashed after update within 2 weeks. took tech long time correct , goodly amount of stress said can fix no updates , said yes. did! no updates since , issues keep arising. can purchase new copy of 10 , install on old 1 correct? there never reason buy copy of windows 10 when own 1 came pc.  follow these steps either clean install windows 10 or reset windows 10 pc .  windows 10 license embedded in uefi firmware chip on motherboard , reactivate whenever reinstall.  buying copy wasting it.   media reinstall provided in first link if choose that.  the first link gold standard clean install clears hard drive during install cleanest.  second easier because it's automated doesn't clear hard drive.  choice.  read 2 links through understand difference. either way, reinstalling os while leaving out factory recovery bloatware paramount, because bloatware  installed @ f

hi: i've read , tried suggestions other posts regarding programs (applications) closed when powered on hibernation or sleep mode in windows 10.  nothing working.  tried powercfg -restoredefaultschemes; updating display monitor via device manager did not help; etc. hibernation mode powers on quicker restart boot process, desktop literally looks rebooted pc. nothing open during hibernate mode opened when powered on.  only file explorer remains in tact.  all other programs no longer on desktop. thanks. hi, it seems issue needs advance troubleshooting. troubleshoot issue, suggest posting query microsoft technet . if have more concerns, feel free post. regards. hello community, i have windows 10 signature edition pc use hours every day , discovered when pc starting up, greeted windows 7 startup sound, there no login, logof, or shut down sounds, startup one. does have idea of why happening, i'm not worried it, kind of explanation. system specs: asus vivobook flip tp501uq 12gb ram nvidia geforce 940mx intel core i7 thanks, cybergen49  windows 10 has similar startup sound same windows 7. can turn off if don't want right clicking on speaker icon on taskbar , select "sounds". down bottom of window pops uncheck box says "play windows start-up sound" , click ok. hidden administrative account active, verified in safe mode through recovery usb drive.  however, cannot access it.  it doesn't appear on logon screen other accounts , doesn't appear if click "start".  all other accounts appear.  i activated hidden administrative account safe mode using recovery usb drive. all want reset password account administrative authority typically use.  i can no longer log on it. thanks we recommend following these steps enable built-in administrator in command prompt @ boot. boot windows 10 installation usb or recovery drive , , open command prompt @ boot (shift+f10). in command prompt, type regedit , , press enter. in left pane of registry editor, click on hkey_local_machine key. click on file (menu bar), , on load hive . open drive (ex: d ) have windows 10 installed on, , browse location below. note: the drive letter (ex: c) not same @ boot within windows

hello there!  i've problem past 4 days , getting agonising can. windows 10 working fine until next day, started slowing down heavily. @ first, clueless happening.  windows take minutes load, 10-15 minutes literally. clicking on icons, folders or apps wouldn't work either. windows crash time , again , reload. somehow managed sneak task manager , shows disk usage @ 100% without single app running or folder open.  so far, i've tried every single solution available on internet. tried paging settings, disabled superfetch , windows search (only worsened problem me, lags more now), tried ahci solution many other prominent solutions on web. not single of them works. , sucks.  furthermore, getting worse each passing day. tried reset windows , gave error right after first restart. tried system restore , found out not available in windows 10 anymore, until unless make recovery point (how disgusting that). previously, i'm unable upg

after recent windows 10 update , shut down, tried start hp desktop.  i entered password, has been working months since upgraded  to windows 10 windows 7 , waited.  finally received message "the gpsvc service failed sign-in.  the universal unique identifier (uuid) type not supported.  i'm not able pass logon screen hangs.  fyi - i've entered correct password , confirmed have connection network. note:  i connected home network , not domain network  i've seen of recommended solutions (i.e. edit registry, add new user, etc.), i'm unable past welcome screen logon thanks anyone's in resolving frustrating issue!!! imho: i'm not fan of "forced" updates microsoft windows 10.  this approach has caused me more problems of older versions of windows i've ever used , i've used them all.  just saying... ***post moved moderator appropriate forum category .* **

hello: i attempted virtual assistant prior disturbing of , thanking in advance assistance. i've chosen personal photo desktop background, cannot resize preference.  see can tiles, full screen, center, etc.  unfortunately, none of work last time performed exercise.  clicked on photo , allowed resize there.   although have desktop/screen on lock, having settings on never regarding timing out, screen  continues time out every 3 5 minutes requiring me login each time.  icons moving @ no rhyme or reason well.  i've organized these requirements in excess of 8 times, verified locked, , still moving.   since updates performed, i've added issue involving page sections may added , titled icons of choice placed areas.  (i'm on page i'm taken when click on window's icon on taskbar/ribbon on bottom of screen).  these icons not moving, they're disappearing along sections/titles.   perplexed , clueless.   again, thank
