so, after reformat pc, , choose option 1 says keep pc, proceed , after awhile, error message showed up, , has "cancel" option. so, cancelled it. got stuck in weird screen offered few choices again recovery, , clicked same option keep pc, after restarted, , boom boot says operating system isn't found. so, tried way access computer , booted windows 7 in it. during bootups, there's 2 options, windows 7 , windows 10. when click windows 10, restarts on again (i assume there corrupted file), when click windows 7 starts , brings me windows. so, question how can recover windows 10? (i have partition on hard drive windows.old located. assuming windows 10. in recovering corrupted files? (this second time in doing reformat/recover thing, first time smooth. booted computer without hassle, windows 10 there , reinstalled easily. second time, don't know happened. please help) ***post moved moderator appropriate forum category.***

i’ve had friend flashing desktop, version 1607 build 14393.1198. screen background black , taskbar flashed on , off. luckily there had been user account name (administrator) set supplier used set account in friends name. (administrator) having tried many things net @ point going delete friends account , start again when noticed file called ntuser.man. before deleting account , using user account name, decided delete file. friends account started normal after , normal background , desktop/taskbar icons recovered. i don’t know file it’s not on home built windows 10 found under folder of friends name , not hidden file. laptop acer f15. thought i’d share experience. it working fine until couple of days ago started experiencing problems it. it's got nothing headphones because i've tested on other devices , functions normal. way i'd describe sound quality generated laptop headphones sounds it's been recorded tunnel, or compressed space.  here methods i've tried (and failed ): 1. going device manager, clicking sound, video , game controllers, clicking amb high definition audio device, accessing properties, , updating driver.  2. troubleshooting sound problems in speakers tab 3.  disabling , re-enabling speakers  also, see lot of solutions problem requires going speakers' properties , checking off "enhancements" tab, reason don't have enhancements tab? don't know trustworthy programs unsintall/install enhancements if that's problem. again, don't know if missing enhancements issue because sound fine when didn't use any.  please help, frustrating isn&

since latest system update few days ago, can't exit screen saver mode in normal fashion. rather exiting desktop when click mouse or hit "enter" or other key board input, have hit cntl-alt-delete task manager, cancel. screen saver settings unchanged when worked before recent system updates. it enters screen saver on schedule, doesn't exit. i reset screen saver use "photos" instead of "photo gallery". problem solved. apparently updated windows 10 not play windows live photo gallery. hi all    last night downloading microsoft store the game forza apex, , going ok, download going quiet while , tired went bed. in morning when returned there message on blue screen "inaccessible boot device" odd thought. anyway turn computer off , on again, , computer kept on doing on , on again. so, dove cmos see if there had change, couldn't find nothing change. old machine build in 2009, had kept upgrading it over years, , had ungraded it's video card, , hard drive samsung 850 evo ssd. thought failure, had been operating 2 weeks no issues, super happy major speed improvement. said no problem hook old drive laying there in it's bay not plug in, swap wires , rebooted and  same message came again on drive. shut system down , again hook ssd , next said boot usb stick , see if can fix issue of drive, microsoft reports can't not repair drive , tell me shut down. gaming rig don't need it live, have time play it. i re-install

i have purchased laptop john lewis in clearance lines. used laptop, had been factory reset. i bought have same model , needed additional 1 staff. i have windows 10 pro installed on , works fine, apart when monitor connected it. the monitor connected through hdmi , when plugged laptop, whilst laptop on, works should. problem when laptop restarted, laptop starts flicker between start screen , seems turning it's self off. after approx. 20 seconds a  blue screen appears following message: stop code: video tdr failure what failed: igdkm64.sys if laptop started without hdmi lead attached, laptop starts fine, can plug in once started , works fine...it's annoying. my laptop (same model number) doesn't have issue, that's don't understand. if use new laptop on screen has same issue. i have looked through quite few google , bing searches, cannot seem find solution. can help? thanks.

i purchased display model acer laptop running windows 10, wal-mart store, store had established user or administrator account.  after trying several password suggestions account "walton" able access computer , set own administrator account using microsoft account.  unfortunately, did not record the"walton" password @ time, remove walton folder (computer still asks me log in under "walton" no 1 in store purchased computer can supply me correct password).  since unable remove "walton" folder surmise @ higher level of authority mine.  there elevated command can use remove traces of "walton"?  fyi, under "user accounts" in control panel, account listed - administrator.  however, when type "cmd" in run menu, command line is: c;//users/walton.  ?? help. hi, to resolve concern, may follow steps provided on article: how disable , delete user profiles

i reinstalled windows 10, , quick access not working properly. have followed advice online , tried, multiple times, deleting contents of %appdata%\microsoft\windows\recent\automaticdestinations and %appdata%\microsoft\windows\recent\customdestinations makes no difference. have tried disabling , reenabling both quick access options in folder options/privacy, , clearing history there, nothing makes difference. have rebooted multiple times different options set. here symptoms. quick access appears @ top of navigation pane in explorer, should. the same 4 items appear in list in navigation pane under quick access, whatever changes make. if pin quick access, not appear here. 4 items documents, %userprofile% folder, computer , folder in user space no longer exists on pc - renamed avoid reappearing, still does. if "unpin quick access" these items, disappear, reappear after rebooting, though not immediately.  in quick access folder, under frequent
