hello i have issue 1 of system folders corrupted due hdd failure (getting new 1 in few days). 'syswow64' folder corrupted , unable access it, tried chkdsk, sfc , dism none of them fix it. chkdsk hangs @ 11% 20+ hours, sfc found corrupt files couldn't fix it, dism (.../restorehealth) unable find source (also tried with windows 10 bootable usb media as source). tried clean install windows 10 bootable usb provided by microsoft it gets stuck in end (hangs on 'restarting in few moments' 10+ hours).  is there way to fix/replace the corrupted folder without deleting every program , reinstalling windows 10?  because of unable open programs/apps, 64-bit programs work. hi anthony, file corruption happens when there's hardware issue or bad sector on hard drive. since have tried troubleshooting steps, suggest contact hard drive manufacturer in order recover data. once new hdd , perform clea

computer log me off after period of time of no usage. commonly called away computer , user account logged off, after 5 minutes of no usage. not want have use windows key + l or cntl+alt+del key , pick sign out. way have use password to log back, if don't come in time, but  if before designated time still logged in.  you create task in task scheduler.  under "conditions" tab, set task run after computer idle 5 minutes. under "actions" tab, create new action , type following script: shutdown -l this may you're looking for. shut down computer last night did updates when turned on today . theen tried sign account had make new password twice, said not sign in pin , can not page crate pin. how fix tht problem below password entry field, there should option toggle between pin or password entry account (if pin exists). pin is a 4-digit number.
