so bought asus laptop. used year , further now. have problem. problem started when first reset os because ethernet (realtek pcie gbe family controller) software update keep forcing deep sleep. did reset after made mistake. when started fresh tried install first intel hd 4400 graphics software latest update, manually. @ middle of process there no flicker on monitor changes installation failed cannot install software drive software updated. next month windows defender broken no matter how many times restart security service. has no effect. though haven't have antivirus installed , uninstalled pre-installed antivirus. watch yt video about. change registry hklm.software.microsoft.windows nt.profilelist there have change profilepathimage multi string instead of expanded. after reboot go login screen , type ms account password says incorrect. checked online via phone , accepted it. tried reset 2nd time stop @ 60% , undoing changes. goes troubleshooting boot , says there problem. use chkdsk c: /r /x , /r only. fixed badcluster of defender , that's all. including sfc /scannow /offbootdir=?:\ /offwindir=c:\ ... no damage found. tried 3rd reset , more. ends same ... 60% stop ... undoing changes
what should do? made backup of personal files through cmd external drive. please help

here's update. found out when you're in recovery boot / troubleshooting mode. cant reset because of privilege level , level of memory can use in mode. can reset when logged in ms account go settings , click recovery.
also trick. did access built-in admin had change command prompt mode @ safe mode. import registry backup reboot. can access login screen using ms account @ caution. you'll marked not genuine os user when access settings, system, system info. you'll see it's active , genuine. accidentally reported counterfeit (oops). right @ 7:15pm april 2017. completed reset , beginning install fresh one.
note: laptops has preinstalled os built-in
