System Tray Missing - Microsoft Community


system tray missing , icons spread out on task bar. searching around took me post suggested editing following registry entry

hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer

under 'policies' there no sub-entries. can't find solutions anywhere.

i see. mistook post trying use registry fix (which did find curious) wasn't happening,

and didn't check registry see have there.

however, while there should keys in section of registry, don't see

that looks related notification area.

explorer has several keys, none point notification area.

similarly disallowcpl has lot of entries, have names in value area, , don't

believe of them relevant in case.

 

- did issue start after windows update ? have used registry 'cleaner' ?

- have system restore point before problem can roll ?

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
