About activation, startup menu, security, pin, etc - Microsoft Community


few days ago installed few vpn program personal use. , installed cc cleaner clean stuff. started encounter lot of problems. windows activation expire message keeps popping few times every hour though 100% mine activated. there no error message or when go settings. pin disabled , cant set new pin. right side of startup menu(where apps listed) shows store , microsoft edge though didn't it. chrome keeps saying it's corrupted. had hard time connecting internet, disconnected , can't see available networks( can still connect internet manually show available network function not working. tried troubleshooting , nothing detected. please me solve these problem. virus or something? search bar doesn't work, can type in 2-4 letters shuts down automatically. cortana still works. other programs seem work fine.

  • does of issues happened right after installing vpn program?
  • what troubleshooting steps have tried prior contacting us?
  • what trying access when received error "windows activation expire soon"?
  • are having issues changing account's pin or password?

for google chrome issue, please perform steps below , check if helps:

1. clear cache, , cookies of browser.
2. try access different web browser , check if receive same error.
3. enable javascript in web browser.
4. disable pop-up blocking.
5. many security programs includes ad-blocking protection. go through security programs running , check & disable ad-blocking feature, web blocking, etc. feature.

while connectivity issue, there many possible reasons why being disconnected. issue internet service provider, router/modem etc. may want check link for troubleshooting steps can perform.
