hey,
have dell precision 3510 window 10 pro (64bit) , lately i've started experiencing weird behaviors when putting computer sleep.
seems when charger plugged in, getting computer in , out of sleep works well, when pulling charger out, putting computer sleep shutting down , work lost.
i've ran dell diagnostics boot , hardware (memory, fan, hd etc ..) intact, in addition, did not see abnormal log issues in event viewer. dism , sfc showed no issues windows.
this happens when closing lid (set sleep in power plan options) or when explicitly putting computer sleep start menu.
i've checked battery , it's in condition, diagnostics test passed without issues , i've never experienced issues working on battery, when putting sleep.
ideas ?
..
when pulling charger out, putting computer sleep shutting down , all work lost.
use powercfg find out if can hibernate (e.g. powercfg.exe /a). make sure your hiberfil.sys big enough allow system hibernate (e.g. not assist fast restart). use advanced power options (in control panel) ensure that hibernate used when sleep state transitions lower power sleep state. etc.
