Windows 10 freezing when highlighting files. - Microsoft Community


have office home , student 2016. when highlight file either on desktop or wherever laptop freezes. have lenovo ideapad 300.  can't cut, paste, delete, rename without machine freezing , can take @ least hour let me work.

regarding concern on highlighting files, suggest try following methods:

method 1: run windows app troubleshooter.

method 2: perform clean boot.

a clean boot performed start windows using minimal set of drivers , startup programs. helps eliminate software conflicts occur when install program or update or when run program in windows 10.

note: please go through section: how reset computer start usual after troubleshooting clean boot of kb article boot computer in normal startup after fixing issue.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community
