how do i remove microsoft family protection? - Microsoft Community


i user of pc, have not created family account blocking youtube sites , content. on family safety page not allow me switch off , cannot uninstall in add/remove software.

running updated win 10 on pc

we appreciate response. further troubleshoot concern microsoft family protection, suggest disable family safety feature using command prompt. so, follow these steps:


  1. press windows key+ x, click on command prompt (admin). if ymanually ou prompted administrator password or confirmation, type password, or click yes.
  2. in command prompt window, enter these commands:

schtasks /change /tn "microsoft\windows\shell\familysafetymonitor" /disable
schtasks /change /tn "microsoft\windows\shell\familysafetyrefresh" /disable

      3. restart pc.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community
