Laptop will not hibernate or shutdown after May 2017 updates - Microsoft Community

i have asus x205t mini laptop running windows 10 32 bit. worked ok before may 9.

i go power, hibernate , laptop screen go blank , laptop hibernate - power light go off.

i could go to  power, shut down , shutdown message on screen , after few seconds, power light go off.

after may updates on may 9, when go power, hibernate nothing happens. screen still displayed , 1 can continue work.

when go power, shut down laptop seems go through shutown process (shutting down displayed , screen goes blank) power light never goes off.

it obvious laptop not off because if press power button 1 when powering on, nothing happens. have hold power button 30 seconds or force laptop shut off (power light goes off) , press again laptop power on.

may 2017 updates installed on may 9, 2017 kb3150513 (win 10), kb3191836 (office 2007), kb2596904 (office 2007), kb3191895 (office 2007), kb3191835 (office), kb4020821 (adobe), kb890830 (malicious sw), kb4019472 (win 10).

kb3150513 has installed 2 other times since 5/9/17 don't understand.

incorrect power settings can possible reason why laptop unable hibernate or shutdown. assist further, we'd ask if there adapter attached computer when happens? recommend follow steps provided harlynarly on thread. provide instruction how modify settings on cmos.
