i've been having issues past few months can no longer play blu-rays on windows 10 desktop due hdcp errors. at first thought due swapping monitor cables, have since discovered seems new "feature." i have 3 displays on system, 2 of both 1080p/hdcp-capable , configured mirror each other.
if either of these monitors off, hdcp-checks fail. it appears windows isn't disabling hdcp-check displays configured not powered-on/active.
this same configuration worked me on summer without needing have both displays on. my best guess broke sometime around big 'anniversary update' installed.
i found user similar issues on http://superuser.com/questions/1118587/hdcp-error-on-dual-monitor-when-one-is-turned-off that user experiencing issues amd radeon video card, while have nvidia card.
