Windows 10 Factory Reset - Microsoft Community


i bought used hp laptop, star wars special edition notebook has windows 10 installed. noticed previous user did not reset , went (mainly him logged out of main microsoft account on laptop) install did not complete. blue screen came up, stated "your pc/device needs repaired" , "the operating system not loaded because kernel missing or contains errors". below reads "file: \windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe" , "error code: 0xc0000221". tells me need recovery tools, don't know if have (probably not) , can press enter try again. i've tried pressing enter , takes automatic repair screem leads the blue screen described above. constant loop. cannot homepage , not boot properly. can fix this? caused issue?

in order assist better, know following:

  • have tested running windows on safe mode?
  • are able go desktop before getting error message?
  • when error message?
  • what troubleshooting steps have done far?

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
