Task bar wont work - Microsoft Community

logged onto laptop on 01/14, , task bar wont work. can open things firefox , folders, windows button wont work , cant connect wifi or access volume control. cant click time @ calendar. i've ran virus checks , got nothing back, , when go settings connect wifi still wont open available networks. ive never has problems since before last update few days ago; can please help?

it possible there system files , system image files that corrupted during update causing issue occur. resolve this, suggest perform these methods of troubleshooting steps , see if there's changes: 

method 1: update drivers.   

to know how update drivers, click here.   

method 2: run sfc scan.      

to run sfc scan, follow these steps:      

1. run command prompt administrator.      

2. type sfc /scannow and hit enter.       

method 3: run dism tool.      

to run dism tool, follow these steps: 

1. run command prompt administrator.      

2. type following command:      

   1. dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth      

   2. dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth      

note: this might take while finish scanning. do not cancel.     

method 4: clean boot.    

to perform clean boot, click here.    

note: reset computer normal mode once done troubleshooting following section "how reset computer start after clean boot troubleshooting" from same article.
