Can't enter credentials for a mapped drive (Microsoft Office - Microsoft Community

hey everyone!

i wasn't section should under, would've thought windows security/authentication issue, not office fault. asked on reddit thread, nobody able find out possible cause of issue i'll quote original post.

all of college documents stored in remote directory have connected using windows mapped drive feature. previously, i've had no issue opening office documents - come credentials dialog , allow me view/edit/save remote file.

now, however, message doesn't allow me enter credentials, , refuses load selected file.

i'm having work around copying file local directory , again (to save) using windows file explorer, i'd fixed process isn't complicated or time-consuming.
