Windows 10 Unknown Glitch After Restart (Icons All Gone + - Microsoft Community


have no idea happened, ive never seen before. ive had pc less year , had small problems. network settings stop responding, freesing , browsers have open, chrome, firefox , edge froze. restart fix this, , tried today didnt expected @ all. after booting computer first think noticed whas icons gone, im talking actual pictures, names still there (and way me open programs) thing found out right click > propperties nothing, nothing. internet had completley screwed up, connected leave browsers loading whenever try doing @ all. finally, , jarring of all- control panel blank, no icons, no text, empty page. there more things havent seen yet far im @ loss, ive been searching receipt have warranty cant find + if can fix , on own thatd great.

this behavior happens when important system file corrupted or missing windows system. highly suggest running system file checker (sfc) tool repair or replace corrupted , missing system files. so, follow steps below:

  1. right-click on start menu button , select command prompt (admin).
  2. type sfc /scannow and press enter.
  3. wait scan finish , restart computer.
