Windows 10 "stop code" INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE" - Microsoft Community


hi all

   last night downloading microsoft store the game forza apex, , going ok, download going quiet while , tired went bed. in morning when returned there message on blue screen "inaccessible boot device" odd thought. anyway turn computer off , on again, , computer kept on doing on , on again. so, dove cmos see if there had change, couldn't find nothing change. old machine build in 2009, had kept upgrading it over years, , had ungraded it's video card, , hard drive samsung 850 evo ssd. thought failure, had been operating 2 weeks no issues, super happy major speed improvement. said no problem hook old drive laying there in it's bay not plug in, swap wires , rebooted and  same message came again on drive. shut system down , again hook ssd , next said boot usb stick , see if can fix issue of drive, microsoft reports can't not repair drive , tell me shut down. gaming rig don't need it live, have time play it. i re-install windows on see if fix issue, find funny on both drive. can go in drive through command prompt , @ drive , it's directories, , have tried safe mode, still not reboot in safe mode, tells me same message "inaccessible boot device" tried troubleshooting , advance options , none work. i'm thinking software, tried drive or my previous drive, think work. if it's hardware why able go in see drive through command prompt. i know long message, there suggestions.

hi all, if of have been following tread, here answer problem.  couldn't understand why happening, , had concluded had hardware issue, where. out of blue, after re-peated re-starts, message saying my cmos corrupt, initiated re-flash, , rebooted , per normal. still don't know why cmos got corrupted, computer , running again.
