Desktop icons moving to monitor 2 - Microsoft Community

i have 2 monitors on windows 10 pc - monitor 1 (on right) 32" set 1920x1080 resolution , monitor 2 (on left) 17" set 1280x1024 resolution.  i have extended desktop on both monitors right-hand 1 (monitor 1) being main monitor has desktop icons on it, stacked vertically along left-hand edge of desktop.  this works beautifully except after waking pc sleep mode, icons move part-way across monitor 2 (about 2 thirds left) , have move them manually.

i've tried every sort of configuration can think of prevent nothing works.  this aggravates me in extreme have windows open covering every inch of extended desktop apart bit icons reside have keep minimising things can move them back, otherwise can't them in hurry (if customer calls emergency).

i'm thinking maybe on waking, pc sees monitor 2 before monitor 1 , gets confused primary monitor if case, i'd expect icons positioned on left of monitor 2, not hanging around in middle somewhere.  

has else seen , perhaps solved it?
