My laptop was stolen just recently any way I can track it even after - Microsoft Community

so i've read many stories , know quite few people have had laptops stolen them or may have lost it. didn't know turn just right around corner. last night car got broke , laptop , other items taken car. 

i've read , seen previous post on tracking lost or stolen laptops , did try tracking mine. other last time had turned on , connected wifi(which @ office), neither been turn on, nor hooked internet. i'm wondering if it's still possible track laptop after it's been wiped clean gets internet access eventually?

it's 2016 omen running on windows 10 home , i've had november. don't have anti-theft software installed basic password , anti-virus.

by way, case has been reported local authorities, need can get.

like find phone app, use find device to find device on map. free service on devices periodically gets device's location can see on map. here's how find device:

1. go devices. if prompted sign in, use same microsoft account used sign in on device.
2. choose device want find, , click find device.
3. you'll see map device's location.

note: device sends location if it's connected wifi , has enough battery power.
