Suspicious activity and lots of svchost tasks - Microsoft Community

hi, today working on computer, , found task manager contains lot of windows processes,  which used few on other machine

i dont recall opening suspecious files or installing programs., playing overwatch.

i had stop playing because when sent picture on skype, skype made popout message saying theres not dedicated storage though not true, had 60gb left on hardrive, skype quitted , couldnt login because skype logged on computer?

i updated skype fixed it

then saw large archive of running services on task manager , lot of them related remote desktop despite having remote control turned off, tried stopping service , restarting pc service running again

along lot of other new tasks im unfamiliar , cannot tell whats association

im scared , dont know or how diagnose or whats causing it

service host system process hosts multiple windows services in operating system. svchost essential in implementation of so-called shared service processes, number of services can share process in order reduce resource consumption.

if want stop it, can follow these steps:

1. click on start, type run , type in services.msc.
2. find svchost service , select properties.
3. select disabled startup type box.
4. reboot computer.

you can try in safe mode.
