How do I get OneDrive off my taskbar? NOT the icon in the - Microsoft Community

all want onedrive off taskbar. it's right in middle: "onedrive" icon. onedrive not appear in notifications area right. none of other taskbar items show text, icons. onedrive right there, both icon , text. want both onedrive icon , onedrive text disappear. there awful lot of posts onedrive, can't find had particular problem.

i have tried searching through settings topics , entries , found nothing relevant. if rightclick on taskbar icon or text usual choices nothing @ permit me delete taskbar entry. , suggestions appreciated!

you've shown desktop toolbar on taskbar, , onedrive folder on desktop (technically, things "network" , "recycle bin" , many other things don't appear on real desktop).

so here's solution:

1) right-click desktop , close toolbar

2) right-click blank spot , choose toolbars > "new toolbar"  instead

3) go c:\users\your name\desktop , select (don't select top-level desktop in hierarchy)

now show desktop icons on taskbar, none of "not real" desktop icons aren't in folder.
