Windows 10, Version 1703 Not shutdown properly. - Microsoft Community


since upgrading windows 10, version 1703 , os build: 15063.296 from official website, laptop won't shut down properly. use menu button shutdown , screen goes blank, system not shut down. way shut down hold physical power button down till shuts down. when restart system warns me last shutdown did not work , gives me choice troubleshoot or restart. when choose restart seems load normal. moreover, i'd tried wait while after shutdown of time 60 seconds still there hanging same problem.

there few factors can contribute issue facing. related recent update computer had or corrupted system files. resolve concern kindly answer questions below:

  • aside update, there other changes or applications installed on computer?
  • what troubleshooting steps have tried far?
  • have tried go earlier build revert changes?

you can follow steps below rollback:

  1. open start menu.
  2. select gear icon or settings.
  3. navigate update & security.
  4. on left panel, select recovery.
  5. click or tap get started button under go earlier build uninstall current build of windows 10 , go 1 using previously.

take note if don’t see option, that’s because windows 10 automatically remove these installation files after 30 days.

$AV_ASW folder - Microsoft Community

dear all, lately i've found folder in both c: , d:, named $av_asw. inside there vault folder , within folder, db file can't open notepad or ms access. idea on this? i've tried googling gave me avast instead, however, i've used avast more 3 years now, no such file exist before. virus or bug or malware or whatever? please advice. thanks! what name of file? sounds avasts vault put potentially unwanted or infected files prevent them doing harm. (quarantine) open avast , quarantined items, if know file safe, can recover or can empty quarantine vault , avast remove file. Windows / Windows 10 / Security & privacy / PC

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community
