our company uses windows 10 on our workstations , laptops. have begun using bitlocker on of our machines. created new gpo bitlocker settings , linked ou computers located. have not had problem existing machines when turned on bitlocker, however, when set new machines new users, reason bitlocker encrypts default aes 128 instead of xts-aes 256 bit have in our group policy. part of policy being implemented because recovery key being stored in active directory our group policy calls for. have tried several gpupdate /force commands same results. ideas can done bitlocker use encryption strength set in our group policy?
