i have laptop , desktop both running windows 10 64 bit. task bar settings on both machines same.
up until recently, every time went full screen when playing video on both machines, task bar remained hidden
however, since 2 days ago, every time go full screen on laptop, task bar remains on top. desktop still hides task bar.
screen shot below shows task bar obscuring subtitles:
the event occurred 2 days ago windows update on laptop caused reboot automatically (this real real pain separate issue).
the desktop installed 1 of scheduled updates.
as above, settings task bar both machines same , not sure why task bar remains visible on laptop when playing full screen videos.
i suppose uninstall recent windows updates , see if helps identify culprit.
apart this, 1 else have other ideas?

yes, uninstall updates date in windows update settings installed updates. alternative system restore .
if resolves after reboot chances won't repeat when updates reinstalled, if can follow how prevent windows 10 automatically downloading updates. more methods discussed here in case more drastic measures needed how delay, block software updates in windows 10.
but indicate creeping corruption in os, if have other indications of this, , if inferior upgrade or factory install no tech enthusiast run in first place, go on install windows 10 performance , install integrity checklist - microsoft community check install set correctly, optimized best performance , needed repairs done.
