Windows 10 : Taskbar, Cortana, Settings, Control Panel items not - Microsoft Community


hi! have upgraded windows 10 yesterday. first startup ok. second startup got mess up. taskbar not working (except right click), cortana not working, edge , store too. after such trouble, had decided rollback windowe 8.1. settings wont open , displays error "the wait operation timed out." when try open settings link ms-settings:personalization, says no program has associated fike type. also, control panel settings won't open except few recovery , backup , restore .i tried everything, running powershell command re-registering taskbar. tried running of troubleshooters taskbar , store.

also, tried running sfc scan, dism, , creating new account of no use

taskbar troubleshooter found error "microsoft.windows.shellexperiencehost" , "microsoft.windows.cortana" applications need installed correctly. please suggest way reinstall these apps correctly. please provide cmd line rolling windows 8.1 (only 9 days remaining).

try doing repair install first-which keeps , reinstalls windows.
