Windows Defender Security Center -- Disable Alerts? - Microsoft Community

since latest windows 10 update, windows defender security center has been particularly annoying me. i've done research , can't figure out how stop alerting me , popping yellow exclamation point in notifications area. i've seen 1 or 2 threads people turning off windows defender, don't want that. defender anti-malware , scanning agent. not this, however:

my laptop plugged in literally 99 percent of time. don't go anywhere it. battery life not issue me. why windows want me turn brightness down? giving me these security "alerts" on , can see no way disable them. not adjusting brightness.

i know previous iterations of kind of thing have come finer control, such user account control , action center notification settings. cannot find this.

this notification seeing part of new update windows defender called enhanced notification. turn off, follow steps listed below:

1. click start
2. scroll down , click settings
3. click update & security
4. click windows defender
5. set enhanced notifications to off
   
6. restart pc

we find strange defender sending warnings battery of machine, though it's not low. seems there need further this. please share issue via feedback hub, our engineers have @ this.
