Windows explorer not responding in win10 and win7 - Microsoft Community


good morning,

we have windows10 , windows 7 machine in business. having issue explorer last 2 month. user can not thing explorer. try open computer or pc not responding. happen randomly different pc. 1 me please.

to isolate cause of concern, we'd know following information:

  • have made changes computer's configuration prior issue?
  • what exact error message receiving?

to troubleshoot concern, let's methods below.

method 1: run system file checker scan computer.

system file checker scan fix corrupted , missing components computer.

  1. right-click start button, select command prompt (admin).
  2. enter sfc /scannow.

method 2: run dism command.

after doing system file checker scan , no corrupted system files found, idea run dism command fix windows image.

  1. right-click start button, select command prompt (admin).
  2. type following commands , press enter after each command.

    dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
    dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community
