Windows Security Warning - ArcGIS 10.5 - Microsoft Community


when running tool in esri arcgis 10.5, "windows security warning". started happening after installing build 1707 of win10 week ago.

"an activex control on page might unsafe .... want allow interaction?"

how rid of notification?

hi theo,

one of possible reasons why you're getting notification may due recent update installed on device. remove notification, suggest you change level of user account control (uac) settings on device. default, user account control set pop-up whenever application or program attempts make changes on computer. change user account control settings, please follow steps provided below:

  1. open control panel.
  2. select user accounts.
  3. click on change user account control settings.
  4. a pop-up window user account control settings open.
  5. you see slider 4 options.
  6. select never notify , click ok.
  7. you see user account control pop-up window asking if want allow app make changes computer. hit yes proceed.

note: need logged in administrator on device.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
