in effort continually make things 'easier', windows interfaces make assumptions. whenever 'enter credentials' dialog in windows 10, whether elevating admin privileges, accessing network resource through windows file explorer, or via rdp client (mstsc), default behavior present azuread account name (as this os interactive environment log in when security challenge raised) username.
the current username never want use; typically, if trying gain access resource requires security challenge, means integrated authentication insufficient, assume want that default misses the mark.
so instead of allowing me straight-away change username, have select 'more choices', have scroll down , find 'use different account' , , behaves legacy interface of 2 blank fields, 1 username , 1 password. the username urges me use email address, of systems need access to, i'm more entering hostname-or-ipaddress\username, domain\username, or .\username.
question: how can default behavior changed prompt blank username , password field first, eliminating need have select 'more choices' , 'use different account' each time (or user) access new resource?
thank you.
