Critical Battery Notification Gone in Windows 10 Version 1703 Build - Microsoft Community


i upgraded windows 10 version 1703 build 15063.0 last week through upgrade assistant made available online.  i not insider.  the upgrade went , resolved issue having 1 of filtermangers on previous version of operating system.

however, have noticed following upgrade 'critical battery notification' item contained within balanced power plan doesn't appear on screen did in previous version of windows 10.  from looking @ below screenshot, notification has been removed.

looking @ laptop does, have seen windows explorer window opens in task bar, can't click on this.

i reported via feedback hub app last week, has been logged.

i have since been upgraded windows 10 version 1703 build 15063.11 via cumulative update released on weekend.  that installed perfectly.  however, still don't have 'critical battery notification' item did previously.

i have reported via feedback hub app on weekend following update , again morning.

at moment, have configured 'critical battery action' hibernate - machine that.  but don't warning on screen need plug power in.

can advise on whether added back?

there several reasons can cause error in computer. 1 of these corrupted or missing system file. may run system file checker to identify , troubleshoot error. 

you can follow steps through fix windows update errors using dism or system update readiness tool to check update errors. 

 
note: please perform clean boot on pc. 

clean boot temporarily disables third party applications microsoft non-essential services basic drivers run. find third-party software can cause of issue. 

 
here steps: 


 

  1. from start, search msconfig 

  2. select system configuration from search results. 

  3. on services tab of system configuration dialog box, tap or click select hide microsoft services check box, , tap or click disable all. 

  4. on startup tab of system configuration dialog box, tap or click open task manager. 

  5. on startup tab in task manager, each startup item, select item , click disable. 

  6. close task manager. 

  7. on startup tab of system configuration dialog box, tap or click ok, , restart computer
