Windows Wont Open Built in programs (etc settings and stuff) - Microsoft Community

hey there, 

in last month windows don't want open built in program (settings won't open too)

in start, typing me that i have problem account, doesn't open , not showing nothing.

help me please :).

to address concern, please let know if there significant changes made on pc prior this. also, let's check if pc updated latest version. check updates, go settings > update & security > windows update, , select check updates.

if you're experiencing issue if pc date, let's try following methods identify cause:

method 1: perform clean boot.

it determine conflict causing issue using minimal set of drivers , startup programs.

method 2: run system file checker (sfc) tool.

this tool scan missing or corrupt files on pc. here's how:

1. open elevated prompt. press windows key + x, , right-click on command prompt (admin).
2. at command prompt, type following command, , press enter:

                              sfc /scannow

note: scan may take time, patient. windows repair corrupted or missing files found. scan results shown after process finished. may refer article additional information.

method 3: run dism or system update readiness tool.

it's still idea run dism whether sfc tool found errors or not. follow these steps:

1. open elevated prompt. press windows key + x, , right-click on command prompt (admin).
2. at command prompt, type following command, , press enter:

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
