Urgent! Cannot boot after the update! - Microsoft Community


i have updated windows, , there problem. laptop shows "unmountable boot volume"and after can't boot anymore (doesn't show the  dell logo). do?

spec: dell inspiron 2640

1gb video 

i5

6gb ram

power while pressing dell f12 key boot menu.  choose diagnostics test hardware.  report results. 

it's possible you'll not have enough time trigger f12 key if holding while powering pc.  in case enter bios/uefi setup turn off fast boot or fast startup, save setting , exit.  while in setup see if hard drive detected under storage devices or boot order priority.  if doesn't show anywhere , diagnostics not run suspect.  can give further steps test or reseat try working or determine sure it's condition if necessary replace it.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community
