Code Signing Certificate vs EV Code Sign to Bypass Win 10 SmartScreen - Microsoft Community


i've created setup.exe file , loaded onto web site downloading. .exe file has been code signed certificate godaddy. when downloading .exe file website using win7 detects code sign certificate , displays safe download. on win10 .exe file downloads fine when opening .exe smartscreen blocks opening. have many users using win10 trying download .exe file , trying explain them how turn on/off smartscreen in downlaod page frightens them. options .exe past win10 smarscreen?

according globalsign, purchasing ev certificate gives immediate reputation microsoft smartscreen? true, "immediate reputation microsoft smartscreen"?

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
