HP840 G2 Issues with Docking Station - Microsoft Community

my hp 840 g2 has few bugs. when in docking station lid closed, , power up, computer not boot , hangs up. requires me undock laptop hold power button down de-energize, , have power , log in. have issue not keep option nothing when closing lid (as opposed going sleep). little quirks, inconvenience none less. appreciated.

this may have been hardware issue. why want power while lid closed? aren't supposed open lid first? has been before? if not, when did start happening?

with regard lid issue, if going sleep when closing lid, choose different settings, shutdown , save changes. check if settings takes effect. if does, change do nothing. sure on both on battery , plugged in option.
