Working with images in PowerPoint causes my computer to shut down - Microsoft Community

i use powerpoint create educational slides children, , starting in march 2017 when working in powerpoint, computer began spontaneously shut down without warning. has not happened while using other programs regularly use - excel, chrome, , adobe premiere elements. see posts years ago have not found recent discussions on issue.

if work consistently in powerpoint throughout day can expect happen @ least once or twice, though days have no crash. hard me isolate consistent behavior brings crash. first time happened when accidentally blew image many times original size. since has happened when removing background of image, , seems happen more when zoomed in @ 100% or more on slide, though happened when 70% zoomed , not working on single image. number of slides not appear make difference, have experienced crash on presentations few slides , on 20.
