Factory reset for clean device transfer - Microsoft Community

i'm getting rid of new insignia tablet running windows 10.

since used work, need make sure , identifying data cleanly removed.

i've seen other questions answered reinstalling windows fix , retaining user data.

is there simple way return tablet pc factory condition reliably destroy user data?

i've tried switching away microsoft account local login has retained photo in a way can't seem delete. doesn't give me lot of hope of other things may stored.

you can perform reset , choose remove everything.

here's how:

1. click on start, settings, , update & security.
2. under update & security, click on recovery.
3. under reset pc, click on get started.
4. in prompt, choose remove everything.
