Windows freezing, error 0x80070426 - Microsoft Community
windows 10 home 64-bit
recently pc started freeze few minutes after bootup. when reboot error message on picture , continues usual. it's not permanent problem, happens twice month or so, it's still not healty. ideas how fix this? in advance!

method 1: run dism scan (deployment image servicing , management)
deployment image servicing , management (dism) new command-line tool can use service windows image or prepare windows pe image. dism tool replaces package manager (pkgmgr.exe), peimg, , intlcfg tools. dism consolidates functionality found in 3 tools, delivers new functionality improve experience of offline servicing.
follow given steps below run dism scan:
1. press windows key + x, select command prompt (admin).
2. type in following commands , press enter after each command:
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
method 2: start pc in clean boot
putting system in clean boot state helps in identifying if third party applications or startup items causing issue.
1. press windows key + r, type in msconfig.
2. go to services tab, check box for hide all microsoft services, , click disable all.
3. on the startup tab, click on open task manager.
4. on task manager window, go to startup tab, each startup item, select item , click disable.
5. close task manager.
6. on the startup tab of the system configuration dialog box, click ok, , restart computer.
after have finished troubleshooting, follow these steps reset computer start normally:
1. press windows key + r, type in msconfig.
2. on the general tab, tap or click the normal startup option.
3. click the services tab, clear check box beside hide microsoft services, , tap or click enable all.
4. click the startup tab, , tap or click open task manager.
5. in task manager, enable of startup programs, , tap or click ok.
6. when prompted restart computer, tap or click restart.
