POTENTIAL SECURITY BREACH - Microsoft Community

i of few percentage of people in world not have computerized cell phone.  old school guess.  a basic old technology based flip phone phone call. no texting or else.

every month microsoft "temporary" closes ipad account , demands cell phone number authenticate me.  and every month takes hours , hours deal microsoft have ipad running again.  they indicate account has been compromised , yet never shuts down laptop.  i can utilize that, not ipad.

i have never given microsoft cell phone number.  yet insist need verify me.   how can verify against don't have.  this huge security breach waiting happen.  someone decides steal stuff, needs give cell phone gain full access use burner phone.  meanwhile, since locked out, have no way of knowing have been breached except password doesn't work.  except since microsoft treats account "open season" fraudulent activity long someone, anyone, doesn't matter who, gives them cell phone number.  

this terrifying.  this not security... , yet, security issue cannot escalated anywhere within microsoft.  stay on phone hours agents transfer else because clueless...and each 1 worse 1 prior. 

it not pc or phone platform.  it ipad.  but no option that.

use microsoft account on ipad, such ms office?
