User Groups in Windows 10 Home - Microsoft Community
can case that, having accepted windows 10 home, not permitted simple facility assign users different groups (so limit access confidential documents or directories)?
have windows 10 version 10.0.14393, home, 64-bit, build 14393, updates having been plugged in automatically whenever issued.
have been looking around sort of on getting function, , found 1 route seemed likely:
run > lusrmgr.msc
on going this, screen tells me nothing except:
" x local users , groups
snapin may not used edition of windows 10. manage
user accounts computer, use user accounts tool in control panel."
tool not give me way manage groups users may in-
in fact, switch 'account type' between 'standard'and 'administrator'.
approaching different angle: if right-click on particular file or folder, , pick 'properties', , click on 'security' tab, shown list of 4 "group or user names" - authenticated users / system / administrators / users - each of can edit permissions. but, if want assign higher level of access encouragingly-named authenticated users, seem have no way switch particular user account authenticated users - to/from administrators/users. why authenticated users class exist?
appears way protect confidential documents assign users access them administrators class - which, matter of principle, trifle undesirable - , batten down permissions users.
why????
in name of that's holier bill gates microsoft here?
how can possibly justify denying basic function people have bought os in faith??
