Certain icons in taskbar won't open - Microsoft Community


icons in taskbar far right include battery, wifi, sound,  , notifications, not open when left click.  able open them fine 10 days ago cannot open them when left clicking.  if right click, options on of icons.  not same if left click on icon.  why did stop working properly?

to identify cause of issue, we'd clarify following information:

  • did make changes computer's configuration prior issue?
  • have tried using different mouse?
  • does issue persists taskbar icons?

in mean time, let's run system file checker scan , dism commands. system file checker windows utility allow users scan , restore corruptions
in windows system files. follow these steps instructions:

  1. open command prompt  (admin).
  2. type sfc /scannow , hit enter.

if sfc did not find violations, it's still idea run dism restorehealth. instructions, please follow these steps:

  1. open command prompt (admin).
  2. type dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth , hit enter.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
