Incredibly long (Just about 1000 seconds oddly enough) boot - Microsoft Community

scenario:

dell precision t5400 dual xeon x5460 cpu's , 12 gb ram full buffered ram, nvidia gtx 960 (evga) , 256gb samsung evo 850 ssd. system has a09 bios revision, latest.

windows 10 (x64) takes 16.6 minutes (which happens 1000 seconds strangely enough) boot after post (bios, not uefi). after posting, black screen windows logo appears, , spinning circle. stays way 15-20 minutes, before displaying login screen.

this behavior exists in windows 10. i've tried clean install, no change, , same lag when booting windows 10 install media (both dvd usb media). being rtm vs patched makes no difference. using current drivers, no difference. i've tried usb devices removed (even kb/mouse) , no difference.

if turn on fast boot, problem stops unless reboot performed (by me, or windows update, etc). makes sense because fast boot form of hibernate , it's not having go through full boot process again.

i've used windows performance recorder , analyzer @ what's up, , entirety of lag happening during presession stage, shows nothing of note going on during time process standpoint. system , idle 2 processes going on during time; under system lives ntoskernel , 2 child processes, acpi.sys , hal.dll; that's it. memory , disk idle during period. various ways @ data, it's idle 1000 seconds before completing boot , otherwise computer acts normally.

screenshot attached, , wpa file available if ms can make sense of (i can put on onedrive or something).

i see nothing problems intel speedstep , overclocking in general, in forums see nothing problems.

glad seems sorted now.  let know if there's else.

i'd bookmark windows 10 performance , install integrity checklist - microsoft community if windows needs going on in future.
