Windows 10 won't wake up from prolonged sleep (or hibernate or - Microsoft Community
hello
i have thinkpad t420 running windows 10 characteristics:
cpu: core i5 2520m
ram: 16 gb crucial
graphics: intel hd , nvidia nvs 4200
storages:
- samsung ssd evo 850 (as os disk in bracket inserted instead of dvd rom)
- wd hdd 320gb 7200 rpm
i have worked several mounts system , there no problem. newly, bad problem has been appeared: when put system sleep long time, system won't wake (the power led flashing, bluetooth led , cpu fan being on). after force shutdown, in boot process bsd error occurs , after several restart, windows boot.
the bsd occurs when turn on laptop after prolonged shutdown or hibernate also. emphasize problem occurs when sleep conditions (or being turned off or hibernated) long time (more hour) , in short time periods, there no error!!!! computer restart command works (shutting down via windows , booting again).
i tried several solutions internet search followed without permanent success!
- check disk (with /f , /r flags)
- sfc /scannow
- power management modifications (disabling hybrid sleep, disabling hdd turn off, disabling hibernation, disabling wake timer)
- fresh installing windows (windows 7 , 10) several times
- updating bios latest version
- updating windows latest released updates
- updating drivers latest versions
- disabling intel speedstep technology within bios settings (it worked days, problem came back!)
- disabling nvidia bios , working intel graphics , vice versa.
- fully cleaning ssd clean command "diskpart" , samsung secure erase tool in samsun magician.
- removing hdd laptop.
- changing ssd port (in dvd rom port , in default hdd port)
- reputing rams , exchanging slot positions.
- full hardware checks not showing problem in hardware (memory, hdd, ssd, motherboard , …)
- removing battery , ac power separately.
- testing 3 conditions in virtual memory settings: automatic page file, customized page file , no page file.
the other things maybe important noticed problem began after battery discharge when laptop in sleep mode. bsds different frequent 1 "kernel security check failed". "memory management" no logged information in dump files (logging enable in windows setting).
a major question: basically, difference between prolonged sleep (or shutdown) , short time ones?!
i read in internet page problem similar current final solution migration linux os! true?
please me resolve problem.
