How do I change Taskbar icon preview from Thumbnail peek to List peek - Microsoft Community

i'm running win 10 creators update v 1703 build 15063.332 on samsung 850 evo ssd \ i7 desktop pc \ r9 390 gpu crimson 17.5.2 drivers. 

how change taskbar icon preview thumbnail peek list peek in win 10 v 1703.  it same type of taskbar icon previews in win xp. 

is there way change natively in win 10 v 1703?

for change taskbar thumbnail peek list peek, kindly follow steps below:

1. press win+r keys open run dialog, type regedit, , click/tap on ok open registry editor.

2. in left pane of registry editor, browse location below.

hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\explorer\taskband

4. change taskbar thumbnail threshold:

    a) in right pane of taskband key, double click/tap on numthumbnails dword modify it.

    note:

    if don't have numthumbnails dword, right click or press , hold on empty area in right pane of taskband key, click/tap on new , dword (32-bit) value, type numthumbnails, , press enter.

    b) select (dot) decimal, type number want taskbar thumbnail threshold, click/tap on ok.

    note:

    if type 0 (zero) disable taskbar thumbnail previews, , show in list mode.

5. close registry editor.

6. sign out windows , sign in.
