Windows Settings wont accept Microsoft Account Password - Microsoft Community

my windows 10 account tied microsoft account, however, on 1 of computers keeps telling me need enter password (the user account uses pin log in, can log in user account ok).  it takes me settings , asks me enter password, tells me incorrect.  it correct password, can use log account online.  when click on "update info" on settings screen, again asks me password , tells me incorrect, provides option reset password.  i can go through process change password, when come settings , enter new password, tells me incorrect.

i cant change "sign in local account" because requires password entered.

i worked microsoft support , confirmed problem, solution offer create new user account , move files , delete old one.  i don't want that, , i'm afraid require password remove old user account.  plus cant have 2 user accounts on 1 computer tied same email.

btw, account on computer tied same email works fine!

so...has else run problem , did find solution?
