keep both devices logged microsoft account , both set sync settings.  one laptop other full windows tablet.  the desktop background on tablet no longer syncs 1 on laptop.  what gives?                  
  
                        there lot of  possibilities why sync failed. have questions isolate issue:

when did issue start?

were there changes made before issue occur? 
   -   
are both devices  sync through onedrive? 
   -   
what other troubleshooting steps have done far?

           to run  sfc scan, follow these steps:

run  command prompt administrator.      
   -   
type  sfc /scannow  and hit  enter.       
   
           to run  dism tool, follow these steps: 
    -   
run  command prompt administrator.      
   -   
type following command:      
    -   
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth      
   -   
dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth      
   
     
       note:  this might take while finish scanning.  do not cancel.
