Laptop (Windows 10) frozen - won't go to sleep or shut - Microsoft Community


i having recurring problem an

inspiron 15r laptop running windows 10 not going sleep or shutting down properly.

when try put sleep or shut down, periodically gets stuck in frozen state where power , wi-fi led lights lit battery status , hard drive activity led lights not. in state, laptop not respond keystrokes or commands, , have shut down power button , start again. have tried checking , changing of power options, have not been able resolve issue.

how can avoid or safely out of frozen state described above?? please help!! not want have forcefully shutting down laptop when might in middle of running program and/or have open windows. also, i don't think can take computer anywhere because can't sleep or shut down when utilize start menu or power button, or when close lid.

to resolved issue shutting down computer, we'd ask few questions:

  • did make changes on computer settings prior issue?
  • is computer freezing when restart it?

meanwhile, suggest perform clean boot steps on link.

disclaimer: please go through section: how reset computer start usual after troubleshooting clean boot of kb article boot computer in normal startup after fixing issue.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
