Missing: task bar icons, search bar, etc - Microsoft Community


my wife having trouble morning opening attachments, restarted machine, icons on task bar missing, , started randomly hitting buttons.  the task bar there:  start button, task view, ^  to see missing icons, etc.

if right click on search start button nothing happens.

if ask settings, window comes "gear" in middle.  nothing happens when click left click gear or "settings" @ top.  if right click 'restore" grayed out.

system restore has 1 choice dated 4 days ago, doubt need restore prior that.

control panel > programs > unist...  shows office 365.  internet explorer found. same word, excel, etc.

please help

should add did sfc scannow no reported issues.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
