Windows 10 Creator ​update media creation tool fails to fix - Microsoft Community

i updated win 10 7.

what appears have been cause of boot error headache had performed check disk night before ran issue.

i have tried every suggestion offered on microsoft support website try , fix 0xc0000098 , 0xc00000f error codes. 

what have done far: 

i downloaded media creation tool usb. changed boot sequence "onboard usb cd-rom , shut down computer, inserted usb media creation tool, turned computer on, hit key, opened options menu. chose fix start , ended 98 error code..

next tried (outdated , harmful) advice shown solution on microsoft support using windows 7 installation disk install utilities fix boot error, lead me  my recent mess.

after start computer, , strike key, 98 error code. when tried f12, options menu, on black screen. gives me option use:  onboard or usb cd-rom drive, usb device, or hardrive boot choice. when choose usb, 98 error code.

i have downloaded ios option of media creation old windows 7 pro laptop have, when try burn dvd, cannot so. when tried burn using ios burn option, error message "wait burner warm up" or, if starts burn, stops , shows "error" no code. have not gotten error message dvd not having enough room.

i've spent way way many hours trying fix this, , i'm close throwing computer out door, (but cannot afford so). 

one thing certain: "solutions" , redirects found on microsoft's support site suggest using old (prior to10)  installation disk, need removed before else attempts use wrong information

i want reads know don't remember correct vernacular, hope substitutions job.

(had been more saavy, have realized blame failure of not having recovery disk lays squarely on microsoft. multiple times tried, , failed burn win 10 recovery disk , due not including app burn dvd, , not being upfront informing customers have use "alternate" burner.)

when upgraded win 10 on pc win 7 license used upgrade , converted digital license windows 10 that stored on activation servers , tied distinct hardware configuration of pc, in way pc can reactivated automatically even after doing fresh clean hard drive erase , reformat installation of the windows 10 os. as long as win 10 had been activated in past on pc , if registered (listed) on ms account there should no problems, if there win 10 has built-in activation trouble shooter utility.

i recommend doing clean reinstallation (the best kind) @ point. full instructions plus more info found @ link below greg carmack.
