Cannot login on Windows 10 pro with admin account but I can manage it - Microsoft Community

i have dual boot laptop windows 10 pro , windows 10 home. after patching of both systems 15th of march 2017, have tried many times login windows 10 pro admin account can't. windows says wrong password.

if login standard user, can manage admin account. windows prompts me enter admin password , no problem, access admin account , can change admin password. if logout can still not login windows new admin password. if log in standard user, open control panel, system , advanced system settings, windows requires admin password , admin password works, can access advanced system settings. seems admin password works login.

i have simple password , there nothing wrong keyboard. cannot access event viewer , check last time logged in admin (you need login admin access part of event viewer). in own text-file log have entry made 22 august 2016, sure logged in admin on windows 10 pro cannot sure if have logged in admin after that, use windows 10 home of time.

i patch windows home every patch tuesday, sometimes, when don't use pro long time patching of pro not done instantly, (march 2017) patching hadn't been made since december 2016.

i have used windows 10 pro windows defender, windows firewall , emet since march 2016.

my latest system backup of pro 4 august 2016, can try restore , see happens. i'm pretty sure admin account work then. need patch pro on , problem come back, i'm interesterd know if else in ms community has had same problem , if there other solution.

the error getting indicate profile corrupted. may create administrator account replace existing one. refer steps provided monica cam in thread to copy data new account.

please advise necessary.
