cortana and Settings not accepting keystrokes - Microsoft Community


i think may have corrupt user account.  windows 10 search bar in start menu accepts 1 keystroke freezes.  i updated windows 10 , installed office 365.  all other programs working fine (chrome, steam) word, excel, powerpoint etc not working (the programs launch make keystroke freeze "(not responding)" message).

my local account on pc not associated microsoft account.  when try add microsoft account "type microsoft account email here" window not accept keystrokes.  in fact, seems way try input ms account window comes not work.

please help.

WTouch_Message_Window app running in the background is preventing - Microsoft Community

Windows error No Certificate Available - Microsoft Community
